About Flappy Crow
Flappy Crow is a free, one-tap arcade flying game. You guide a little crow through
a course of gaps — tap to flap, release to glide, and try to beat your best. It plays instantly
in your browser and is also available as a native Android app.
Flappy Crow was built to be genuinely fair and pick-up-and-play. There are no accounts to
create, no personal details to hand over, and no pay-to-win advantages. Every bird you can equip
is purely cosmetic — the hitbox and flight physics are identical for everyone, whether you are on
your first flight or your five-hundredth. What follows is a complete guide to how the game works,
every mode it includes, how scoring and progression are earned, and answers to common questions.
How to play
One control, endless practice. Timing is everything.
- Flap: tap the screen, click, or press the Space bar. Each input gives the crow a
small upward lift.
- Glide & fall: between flaps, gravity pulls the crow down. Stop tapping and it drops;
tap too fast and it climbs into the ceiling.
- Goal: keep a steady rhythm so the crow holds a stable line and slips through each gap
without touching a pipe, the ground, or the top of the screen.
- Pause & resume: in a solo flight you can pause with the on-screen button or the
P key, then resume when you are ready.
The whole skill of Flappy Crow is rhythm. Short, evenly-spaced taps keep you level; a well-timed
extra flap lifts you over a high gap. It takes seconds to understand and a long time to master —
which is exactly the point.
Game modes
Classic
The endless signature mode. Fly as far as you can through a never-ending course, with instant
retry after every crash — there is no forced ad between attempts on the web. Classic is where
your all-time best score and leaderboard rank are set.
Quest Worlds
A series of themed courses played one after another. Clear a course to unlock the next one.
The first time you clear a course you earn a one-time coin reward, so there is always a fresh
goal to chase beyond your endless best.
Rival Arena
Real-time multiplayer against real people only — never bots. Create a private room, share the
code, and 2–50 joined players race the same 50-pipe course together. Equal scores share the
same place, so ties are handled fairly.
Ranks
The all-time Classic leaderboard. Placements use server-verified Classic scores to keep the
board honest, and players with equal scores share a rank.
Cosmetics & progression
The Flock Locker
The Locker is where you choose your flyer. Flappy Crow includes a full set of collectable bird
skins across different rarities. Crucially, every skin is cosmetic only — changing your bird
changes how you look, never how you fly. The hitbox and physics stay identical, so the Locker is
about personal style and collection, not advantage.
Flight Pass
The Flight Pass is a free, permanent progression track with no expiry and no season to miss.
You earn Flight XP by clearing pipes during flights, and you claim coins and exclusive cosmetic
flyers at each milestone as you progress. To keep it fair, flights that score zero earn no
progression — you have to actually fly to move the track forward.
Scoring & how rewards are earned
- Score comes from the gaps you clear in a single flight; your highest Classic run is saved
as your best and drives your leaderboard rank.
- Coins are earned from milestones, first-time Quest clears, and rewards — and spent on
cosmetic flyers in the Locker.
- Flight XP accumulates as you clear pipes and advances your permanent Flight Pass.
- Rewards are granted once and tracked server-side, so the same reward can't be farmed twice.
Fair play
Fair play is a core design rule of Flappy Crow. All birds share one hitbox and one set of flight
physics, so no cosmetic gives an edge. Classic scores and ranks are validated on the server to
guard against tampering, and Rival Arena only ever shows real, joined players. There is no
pay-to-win: the optional purchase below only removes ads — it never changes gameplay.
Frequently asked questions
Is Flappy Crow free to play?
Yes. The game is free on the web and on
Android. An optional one-time “Remove Ads” purchase ($1.99) is available in the Android app to turn
off interstitial ads; it is not required to play and does not affect gameplay.
Do I need an account?
No. There are no email or password accounts.
Your progress is tied to an anonymous device session, so you can start playing immediately.
How do I control the crow?
Tap the screen, click, or press Space to
flap. Keep a steady rhythm to hold your altitude and pass through the gaps.
Are the different birds better than each other?
No. Every bird is
cosmetic. The hitbox and physics are identical for all of them, so it is purely about how you want
to look.
What is the difference between Classic and Quest?
Classic is an endless
run for your best score and leaderboard rank. Quest Worlds is a set of individual courses you clear
one at a time to unlock the next, with a one-time coin reward for each first clear.
Are there real opponents in Rival Arena?
Yes — only real, joined
players ever appear. There are no fake or bot rivals. Rooms hold 2–50 players racing the same
course.
How do I delete my data?
Open Settings → Your data → Delete player
